About

I'm a digital artist/generalist living in Johannesburg, South Africa.

My specialties are 2D character animation/rigging and motion graphics within Adobe After Effects, where I can use both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create assets.

I am proficient in 3D modelling, having studied Autodesk SoftImage, lectured a full time course in Maya and used Cinema4D from use in industry capacity. I've also designed 3D assets for 3D printing, a hobby of mine on the side.

Having a history in multimedia/graphic design I have also dabbled in illustration, logo design, graphic novels and more. I have a keen interest in storyboarding and composition/layout for animation and film.

I have also had a go at a spot of editing, as well as compositing 2D, 3D and live action footage.

I'm always ready and willing to learn on the job, have a great time expanding my knowledge base where and when I can.

And me personally?

Well, I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1988. After spending my formative years in southern KwaZulu Natal (where I acquired my love of rain and greenery) I returned to the highveld for my schooling.

Things I do for fun when I'm not stuck behind a PC (or an iMac for that matter) are poking at 3D printers and RepRaps until something happens, nailing bits of wood together into something vaguely useful, goofing off in front of the TV under the guise of a critic, the odd spot of rock climbing, and making holes in paper with handguns, shotguns and rifles. I have several personal projects on the back-burner including but not limited to an indie comic or two and designing tiny houses that may never be built.
